The OWO Guerlain Spa and Pillar Wellbeing
The OWO (formerly the Old War Office), which was originally constructed in 1906 and once a hub of political and military activity hosting figures like Sir Winston Churchill, has now been meticulously transformed into a pinnacle of luxury hospitality. The eight-year renovation restored the Edwardian masterpiece, preserving its historical grandeur while integrating modern amenities.
McCue’s fit-out within the pool area includes: - private treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge, changing rooms, corridors, L’Atelier Guerlain, and Pillar Kitchen serving nutritious food and healthy juices. The pool area, featuring a stunning twenty-metre swimming pool and vitality pool, is designed to evoke calm with gallant arches, soft ceiling lighting, and sandblasted glass panes creating a serene wave effect.
In the treatment suites, McCue’s craftsmanship is evident in the intricately fitted feature ceiling, custom joinery, and harmonious timber accents, all contributing to a tranquil ambience. The bespoke joinery throughout the spa, from reception desks to lockers, is crafted from light oak and fine woods, with elegant stone countertops, ensuring the highest standards of quality.
