Receptionist

McCue is seeking a receptionist to join our team.

Our receptionist’s play a vital role at McCue. You will be the first point of contact via phone and in person when guests, employees or delivery personals enter the building. Our ideal candidate will have a friendly and polite etiquette as well as the essential experience of working in a busy office environment.

Responsible to:

HR & Training Manager

Responsible for:

A professional reception service including answering the telephone and greeting customers and suppliers to the office.

Wage level: 

Competitive salary and remuneration package tailored to the successful candidate

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum GCSE/O’Level English and Maths or equivalent at C grade and above

NVQ level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent) would be advantageous.

Essential Experience:

Experience in busy office environment and managing a switchboard.

JOB SUMMARY/KEY TASKS

  • A well-presented disposition with a mature attitude and excellent telephone manner.

  • Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.

  • Flexible to work additional hours to cover holidays/sickness etc for other receptionists.
  • Answering telephone and greeting customers and suppliers.
  • Recording and communicating messages.

  • Handle all outgoing mail.

  • Open and date stamp all incoming mail and out into the appropriate order for collection.
  • Miscellaneous filing.

  • Maintain switchboard system i.e., update extension numbers and speed dialling accordingly.

  • Word-processing and data processing

  • Support for all other departments when required.

  • To participate and support all Company initiatives with compliance of procedures and requirements for ISO9001, 14001 & 45001, FSC and Investors in People Standards.
  • Any other duties conducive to the effective operation of the post which the Company deem to be within the post holder’s competence
