Café en Seine, Dublin

About This Project

Located on Dawson Street in the heart of Dublin, is the iconic Café en Seine. Established in 1993, the popular bar quickly became a go-to destination for both locals and tourists alike but in 2018, a major refurbishment got underway to transport visitors into a world of Parisian chic and glitz.

Due to McCue’s extensive experience and quality reputation in creating intricate joinery pieces, the company was chosen to manufacture and fit a number of bespoke products including waiter and maître D’ stations, wall panelling, doors, bathroom cubicles and vanity units, library unit, bespoke fake shop fronts and feature mirrors.

Throughout the two-month project, the team also created the Cocktail bar, Bar 39, Street Bar, Grand bar and the first floor bar – all picturesque and beautifully finished in their own individual way.

Collaborating with Café designers Millimetre, McCue’s specialist team helped turn the designers’ vision into a reality. Using a plethora of materials and techniques, McCue worked to value engineer sections and created the required looks.

Café en Seine’s stunning design and installation has to be seen to be believed and has been internationally recognised by Muse Design Awards, winning both Platinum and Silver awards.
