IT Manager

Purpose of The Role

As IT Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic development of the organisation's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to align technology with business objectives and drive operational efficiency through innovative IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues and maintaining IT infrastructure.

  2. Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and implement fit-for-purpose solutions to drive efficiencies.

  3. Manage and maintain relevant databases, ensuring security, availability, and data integrity.

  4. Liaise with external suppliers and service providers, handling contracts, renewals, and service-level agreements.

  5. Ensure outstanding customer service through timely, empathetic, and effective support.

  6. Develop company use of AI throughout the business to include PQQ’s, tender assessments, marketing and report writing.

  7. Develop link between Sage 200 & Construct from job costing stock.

  8. Provide training and support to users on new software and hardware.

  9. Maintain accurate IT asset inventories and manage their lifecycle.

  10. Ensure compliance with software licensing and IT best practices.

  11. To participate and support all Company initiatives with compliance of procedures and requirements for ISO9001, 14001 & 45001, FSC and Investors in People Standards.

  12. Any other duties required for the effective operation of the post as deemed by Management.

Qualifications

  • A 3rd level ICT qualification, for example a degree/HNC/HND or equivalent.

Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in an IT Manager or similar senior IT role.

Skills

·         Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

·         Strong problem-solving skills.

·         Good time management with the ability to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines.

·         Ability to work on own initiative.

·         Full UK driving license (occasional travel to other sites will be required).

·         Support may be required from time to time for a sister company.
