It’s Health Week at McCue

McCue Crafted Fit will be taking part in this year’s Men’s Health Week, which runs from Monday 11th to Sunday 17th June.

Men’s Health Week is a time to bring awareness to the health issues that affect men. The initiative focuses on getting men to become aware of problems they may have or could develop and gain the courage to do something about it.

Here at McCue, we are passionate about the health and wellbeing of our employees, which is why we are holding our own ‘McCue Health Week’ from Monday 11th to Friday 15th June. Various activities will be held throughout the week to get our employees up and active which will include a healthy breakfast, daily walks and cycles, nutritional talks, laughter yoga and Pilates.

It has been proven that 25 minutes of exercise per day can reduce the risk of major illnesses such as heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and cancer by up to 50%, as well as lowering the risk of early death by up to 30% so we strongly encourage all our employees to take part.

The best bit is, you don’t need to be the next Usain Bolt or Sir Bradley Wiggins to take part! Regardless of your physical ability, it’s all about making a start and even if you don’t particularly enjoy it, you can laugh it off during the laughter yoga – after all, they do say laughter is the best medicine!
