Apprentice Joiner
Overview
Main Purpose of the Role: To work closely with and under the daily supervision of both the designated mentor and Team Leader within the workshop.
Location: Carrickfergus.
Salary: In line with National Minimum Wage requirements (increasing annually).
Responsible To: Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities
To attend college and obtain NVQ Level 3 in Joinery.
To work with and provide support to joinery and other related trades people.
Produce quality finishes to joinery items, as per client specifications.
Adhere to all relevant Health & Safety requirements specified by the Company.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping by ensuring that all areas of the workshop are kept clean and tidy at all times.
When required, work on a variety of sites throughout Ireland and the UK Mainland once CSR cards are obtained.
To participate and support all Company initiatives with compliance of procedures and requirements for ISO9001, 14001 & 45001, FSC and Investors in People Standards.
Any other duties required for the effective post operation as deemed by Management.
Qualifications
You will need to apply for the relevant carpentry and joinery course at a local college.
Placement is subject to obtaining the required exam grades and gaining entry to a local college.
Skills
Be willing to learn.
Good time management.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Other
Willingness to travel to sites in the UK, Ireland and Europe.
