19 Sep NAS Award Win for McCue and The Friend at Hand
McCue Crafted Fit were delighted to win the Small Project category for The Friend at Hand Whiskey Shop, Belfast, at the prestigious NAS Design Partnership Awards 2017, held at The Postal Museum, London. The prestigious awards ceremony took place on Thursday 14th September at the newly opened Postal Museum in Phoenix Place, London.
Located on Hill Street, in the heart of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, ‘The Friend at Hand’ Whiskey Shop is a unique take on a traditional off-licence. The first of its kind in Ireland, selling only Irish Whiskey, the shop also plays host to a mini-museum upstairs which pays homage to the history of distilling in Belfast.
Designed by Michael McKervey of Fresh Interior Design, the McCue experience and skill came in to play during the fit out as our team of craftsmen skilfully integrated our own bespoke joinery with antiques and artefacts supplied by the shop’s owner, Willie Jack.
The NAS Design Partnership Awards celebrate collaboration between the very best of interior design and innovative fit out contractors. This is the 5th NAS Design Partnership Award for McCue.
